This presentation will cover a variety of Richard’s projects from early UAV experimental and autonomous systems development in Australia, pioneering hybrid electric propulsion research, through to present day electric propulsion demonstrator and conceptual designs being developed in the UK. The illustration in broad scope of these activities across 25 years may offer an interesting view of changes and potential future directions and opportunities in aerospace research, engineering and industry from an individual perspective.
